Article Abstract:

A wide range of medical experts believes the advantage of a Medicare Choices Demonstration Project lies in the ability of doctors to assess patient risk and develop an insurance plan. The demonstration project gives healthcare providers more flexibility than standard Medicare health maintenance organizations do. Other advantages include increased control in managing plans and the ability to devise improvements.
