A PEG service with nurses at its heart

Article Abstract:

A description is presented of the percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) placement service which is nurse-led and which is available at the Leicester General Hospital. The technique used to perform a PEG is discussed.

In-hospital resuscitation for ward nurses

Nurses in the United Kingdom receive basic training in life support techniques, but there is a need for more. Resuscitating patients in hospitals is different and requires different techniques.
