Evaluation of a fibre intake questionnaire using weighed records

Article Abstract:

Evaluation of the validity of food-frequency questionnaire used in the estimation of dietary fibre intake in 34 subjects indicates that the average daily fibre intake as calculated from the questionnaire is 22.1 g, and 16.7 g for the 7-day weighed record. The graphical calculation shows much disagreement between the questionnaire and the 7-day weighed record. This disagreement is due to the discrepancies in the measurement of diet in both methods.
