Focus on humanity of care as well as how it's delivered

Article Abstract:

Healthcare policy changes that are appropriate and not driven purely by economic considerations will ensure that the US healthcare system retains its compassionate element. Healthcare leaders and legislators involved in policy development must therefore emphasize the humanity of health care, not just the costs and processes. The American Medical Assn and the Medical Group Management Assn have definite and important roles to play in the evolution of sensitive healthcare in the US.
