Holistic healing methods positively advance patient care

Natural, patient-centered environments are helpful to healthcare as they address the spiritual, social and emotional needs of the patient. Some of the concepts that can be considered and implemented in a healthcare facility include eliminate or control noise, increase family participation and recognize and integrate staff needs.

Genomics meets nursing practice

Article Abstract:

Nurses must accept genomics as a reality of practice, develop an understanding of both the promises and pitfalls it holds for patients and practice, and learn how to adapt to its inevitable incursion into healthcare. Guidelines on how nurses can incorporate genetic and genomic information into their practice are presented.
