How to manage opiate dependence and withdrawal

Article Abstract:

The way in which one can manage a group of drugs, opiate, which include heroin and morphine, dependence and withdrawal is presented. For clinical practice opiates are predominantly used to manage pain, though they are also used as a cough suppressant and an antidiarrhoea agent.

Compartment syndrome: the importance of early diagnosis

Article Abstract:

Techniques for early diagnosis of compartment syndrome are described. Compartment syndrome occurs when prolonged pressure compromises the microvascular system in a muscle. If compartment syndrome is not diagnosed early, irreversible necrosis of the muscle will occur.
