Insanity as a result of hysterotomy and oophorectomy

Article Abstract:

The relationship between the operations on the pelvic organs and insanity is discussed. The insanities followed by the operations of pelvic organs depend on a hereditary tendency to insanity, the psychological causes, and the physical causes, thus proving that the ovaries and uterus does not play any major role in the preservation of the integrity of the brain and their removal alone does not cause insanity.
