Labor and delivery nurses: A survey of attitudes toward third-year medical students and their education

Article Abstract:

In a survey, 46% of third-year medical students at a university rated labor and delivery nurses had a negative influence on their obstetrics and gynecology rotation. Labor and delivery nurses, in turn, were found to generally have a more positive attitude toward students and their learning, although nurses did have reservations about students performing technical procedures in the labor and delivery room.

Teaching residents coding and documentation: Effectiveness of a problem-oriented approach

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of a problem-oriented approach to teaching residents accurate coding and documentation of ambulatory gynecology visits. It was concluded that problem oriented interactive learning was an effective method of teaching residents proper coding and documentation.

Development and assessment of a Web-based evaluation and management coding curriculum for residents

Article Abstract:

A study was conduced to assess a Web-based learning module for residents on evaluation and management coding. It was observed that web based learning module for residents using a scorecard based in reimbursements schedules was effective for instruction and assessment.
