Money matters

Article Abstract:

Term assurance policies are inexpensive, flexible fixed-term life assurance policies which pay a tax-free guaranteed sum if death occurs within a certain time limit. They can be suited to nearly all situations. The amount of cover required can be calculated by multiplying the annual salary of the breadwinner by 10, with premiums cheapest for the young. Nothing will be paid on a term policy if the term is survived, unlike savings-linked policies. Loans can be covered by one to two year short-term policies. The four variations of policies comprise family income benefit, convertible term, decreasing term and level term policies.

Money matters

Article Abstract:

People interested in buying timeshare holidays should take certain precautions if they are not to fall victim to the unprincipled sales methods employed by some timeshare companies. Many timeshare companies use the promise of a prize to lure people to presentations where hard sell techniques are used to obtain a signature on a binding sales contract. By obtaining as much information as possible on a timeshare company and the holidays it offers and showing the sales contract to a solicitor, timeshare buyers are less likely to make an expensive mistake.
