Nurses who thrive under pressure

Article Abstract:

Hyperbaric treatment is an adjunctive therapy that boosts oxygen levels in body tissues, enhancing the healing process and is often used with surgery and general wound care. Nurses study for the Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (CHRN), a U.S qualification to qualify in this discipline and need to have critical care background with the ability to maintain it.

Nurses' smoking behaviour related to cessation practice

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to examine the smoking behavior, knowledge and attitudes of nurses, their willingness to provide smoking cessation support to patients. It is concluded that nurses who smoke are less motivated to provide cessation support for patients, have less positive attitudes to the value of smoking cessation.

Fast-track palliative care training to bridge the theory-practice gap

The Hambleton and Richomondshire Primary Care TrustEs specialist palliative team developed a fast-track palliative care training programme. The programme proved to be successful in increasing the studentEs skill and confidence and in changing practice in the workplace.
