Many elderly individuals are now discovering the benefits that can be derived from bodybuilding. Studies suggest that a combined bodybuilding and aerobics program lowers total cholesterol levels, increases high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, stabilizes blood sugar and builds bone strength in senior citizens.
