Scientists, activists sue South Africa's AIDS 'denialists'

Article Abstract:

South Africa's health minister and a vitamin supplier are sued by the doctors and AIDS activists to end the politically supported denialism afflicting the country's fight against the disease AIDS. The results show that the number of people receiving antiretroviral drugs is not up to the mark according to the target set by the government, though it has definitely increased over a course of time.

Traditional healers fight for recognition in South Africa's AIDS crisis

Article Abstract:

The prominent AIDS activist group Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) is finding itself in a difficult situation as South Africa's traditional healers claim for greater recognition of their value in treating HIV/AIDS. However, the TAC agrees that traditional healers can be important in fighting AIDS, particularly as a source of accurate information and psychological support.
