South Korea scandal rocks stem cell community

Article Abstract:

The recognition of Noo-Suk Hwans, the South Korean cloning star about the source of eggs used in his research has raised several scientific and ethical questions on the stem cell community. Various inquires and tests are being conducted to examine the situation and to verify the demonstration of the ability of creating stem cell lines from cloned human embryos effectively and efficiently.

New York City foster home accused of unethical AIDS drug trials

Article Abstract:

Federal agencies are investigating allegations of misconduct in AIDS drug trials using children in New York City foster care. However, most researchers agree that pediatric drugs should be tested in children because children react to diseases and drugs differently than adults do.
