Leaving a mark on medicine

Article Abstract:

The 150th anniversary of the American Medical Assn's House of Delegates will be observed when it meets in Chicago, IL, during Jun 1997. Although the AMA has changed its structure over the years, many of the same issues which were important in the organization's early years remain so. Unfortunately, many physicians are not members of the AMA over policy and other issues, but the House of Delegates remains as the guide for AMA policy.
