Use and practice implications of modified-release medicines

Article Abstract:

A discussion on the use of modified-release preparations and their practice implications are presented. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency recommends that all modified-release preparations should be prescribed by their brand name and different brands of the same drug should not be considered as interchangeable.

Health implications of body piercing and tattooing: a literature review

Article Abstract:

The health risks of tattooing and body piercing are discussed, along with British regulation of piercing and tattoo parlors. Poor legal requirements for safety and inspection need to be upgraded to prevent possible cross-contamination of customers with blood-borne illnesses.
