Uterine rupture: Differences between a scarred and an unscarred uterus

Article Abstract:

A study focuses on comparing risk factors, site of rupture and outcome of uterine rupture among patients with a scarred versus an unscarred uterus. No significant differences in maternal or perinatal morbidity were noted between rupture of a scarred versus an unscarred uterus, while cervical involvement was found significantly more prevalent in the rupture of an unscarred uterus.

Pregnancy after bariatric surgery is not associated with adverse perinatal outcome

Article Abstract:

A population-based study is performed that compared all pregnancies of patients with and without previous obesity operations in order to examine the pregnancy outcome of patients after bariatric surgery. No significant differences regarding obstetric characteristics or pregnancy outcome are noted between the open and laparoscopic procedures.

Pregnancy outcome of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus following bariatric surgery

Article Abstract:

A study to investigate pregnancy outcome of patients with gestational diabetics mellitus following bariatric surgery was conducted. The results revealed no association between the previous bariatric surgeries in patients with gestational diabetics mellitus with adverse perinatal outcome.
