Marshall Islands stamps are valued in U.S. currency

Article Abstract:

The Marshall Islands are an archipelago in the W Pacific Ocean which was once a colony or trust territory of the US. It became the Republic of the Marshall Islands with its own constitution May 1, 1979. The postal service began May 2, 1984. The stamps commemorating the event are described.

Netherlands Antilles flag stamps

Article Abstract:

The Netherlands Antilles is made up of two groups of islands in the Caribbean. They are an autonomic part of the Netherlands in Europe and are peopled with African-descents, and Europeans. Jun 30, 1995 was release date for a set of six stamps depicting flags of the five member islands.

Georges Bizet is noted for his dramatic music

Article Abstract:

The life and works of the French composer Georges Bizet is briefly recounted. He is best known for his opera, 'Carmen' which he wrote in 1875. In 1960 France issued a commemorative stamp for him. Malagasy has also issued a stamp in Bizet's honor.
