Some find Tonga novelty stamps rather appealing

Article Abstract:

A history of die-cut stamps, which first appeared in Czechoslovakia in 1918 is presented. In June 1993, Tonga began an experiment and began to issue only die-cut self stick stamps. These novelty stamps were eye-catching, but expensive. Several of the stamps are described. They are no longer issued.
