Article Abstract:

The Canadian Army, called the Canadian Corp at the time of World War I, had to prepare a field postal system for the troops. The system used in England is described and a list of postmarks used in France is given. Detailed information on the mail service and examples of postmarks are presented.

Australia will honor military aviation history

Article Abstract:

The four aviation stamps will be issued on the date of the 75th anniversary of the Royal Australian Air Force. The aircraft depicted on the four stamps are the Curtiss Kittyhawk, Bristol Beaufighter, Hawker Sea Fury, Fairey Firefly, McDonnell Douglas Hornet, and the Bell Kiowa helicopter.

The military career of Field Marshall Montgomery

Article Abstract:

A brief biography of Montgomery and his role as head of British forces is presented. His worse defeat is recounted, that of the loss of 6,000 paratroopers attempting to cross the Rhine in Sep 1944. His honors after the war are discussed and two commemoratives stamps are described.
