Hardware store chains: new interest in an old format

Article Abstract:

Mid-sized hardware store chains are planning to return to the old format to stay profitable in the home improvement market divided between large, warehouse centers focusing on price and small hardware stores focusing on convenience. Many hardware store chains are focusing on the convenience factor to better meet their customers' needs. Location of hardware stores in convenient places such as neighborhood shopping malls will help them better compete with the bog boxes in the home improvement market.
