A social cognitive interpretation of person-organization fitting: the maintenance and development of professional technical competency

Article Abstract:

Existing literature on person-organization fit and social cognitive theory are reviewed and a theoretical model for person-organization fitting is proposed. This proposed model accounts for how individuals adapt to demands on professional technical competency.

A situationalist perspective to competency management

An alternative approach for building competency based management system is presented. The term used for it is "situationalist" approach, the superiority of this approach over traditional job analytical approach is presented.
