Exchange rate management for international assignments

Article Abstract:

The nature of international assignments where employees are sent to another country by the employer organization usually means that their financial commitments in their home country will be retained. In this perspective, the exchange rate management considering the role of a dollar becomes an important consideration. The several issues that need to reviewed while considering the exchange rate management for international assignments is analyzed.

Tax planning and compliance issues for international assignments

Article Abstract:

An overview of tax planning and compliance issues for international assignments is discussed. Further, two types of tax that include income tax and social taxes, and the tax aspects for two types of international assignments that are short - term (up to one year abroad) and long - term (between one and five years) is focused.

Short-term assignments: combining employer and employee interests

European companies make greater use of short-term employment assignments than their US counterparts. The factors influencing the use of short-term contracts are discussed.
