Integration or disintegration? Human resource implications of a common corporate language decision in a cross - border merger

Article Abstract:

A common corporate language in cross border mergers is introduced for the purpose of facilitating communication between organizations that have gone for the cross border merger. A study conducted on Nordic banks considering important aspects such as performance appraisal, language training and management development, career paths, promotion, and key personnel results shows weak results.
