USA: a revolution in healthcare benefits

Article Abstract:

US employees are revolting against Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) regarding the healthcare advantages since the employers feel that inflation has come back to the health segment. A new type of health benefit is quickly earning support. Aetna's evaluation relating to the consequences of Consumer Directed Health Care's (CDHC) philosophy in this regard is presented.

The Congress, the SEC, major stock exchanges and large institutional investors have taken actions on corporate governance issues. Survey by Hewitt Associates reveals that in response to these actions U.S. companies are making significant changes to programmes, plans and policies in respect of their board of directors.

HR transformation under way in corporate America: USA

The changes in the human resource (HR) function of large United States organizations are examined. Fifty-nine percent of companies are redesigning HR work processes and nearly 58 percent are creating a talent development strategy for their HR staff.
