Article Abstract:

Speakers at the British Occupational Hygiene Society's seminar,' Let's Get Physical' presented their views on the usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). While Tim Ward, principal specialist inspector at the Health and Safety Executive proposed the usage of PPE for workers exposed to excessive noise, he did not recommend it to control vibration risks.

A major innovative approach to partnership has helped to improve the productivity as well as health and safety in call centres on Merseyside. The compliance programme aims to improve laws concerning occupational health compliance, and the key feature of the Merseyside Call Centre Project has been the identification and the implementation of good practice.

An international window on safety at work

Article Abstract:

Safety officers, occupational health specialists and fire officers attend the A+A exhibition was held in Dusseldorf in October 2005, with 1300 exhibitors from 52 different countries. The exhibition discussed about occupational diseases, the economics of occupational health and safety, and musculoskeletal disorders.
