Article Abstract:

Permits to work are company forms signed by an authorized person giving the approval to start a particular type of job, however, inspite of this when proper checks are not undertaken before issuing the permit serious accidents do take place. The permit gets terminated either when the job is completed or at the expiry of a certain period and if at this time of expiry the job is incomplete then another permit or an extension to the existing permit may be issued.

Travel safety

Article Abstract:

The necessary steps to be taken to protect the employees travelling on business, in the wake of the SARS outbreak and terrorism attacks, are described. There are numerous hazards associated with travelling for work, including natural disasters, political unrest, unusual local customs and wild life, which means that travellers should take necessary steps to protect themselves.

Driving under the influence of significant distractions, like mobile phones or stress, can be dangerous and are often against the Road Traffic Acts. The safety actions that need to be taken to reduce the risks involved in driving are given.
