Someone will pay for this

Article Abstract:

The aim of the Loss Prevention Council (LPC) is to define what stress is and consider the scientific and technical elements which combine to produce a risk of occupational stress. The LPC advises prevention, control and mitigation. Advising employers about stress factors is difficult because these vary from person to person but employers must try to take reasonable measures to prevent it. They should carry out risk assessments to identify causes of stress in the workplace and evaluate whether employees are showing signs of stress. The demands made on them must not exceed their abilities.

Terrifying tranquility

Article Abstract:

Stress is an arousal response to perceived danger and rather than being removed by drugs it is a sign that a person needs to get help to overcome the problems which are causing it. If stress is dampened down then problems will not be addressed and the person's health will be affected. They will feel helpless and this will affect the immune system, making them ill. More research must be done to define what stress is and remedies should focus on problem-solving, work practices and discussion between management and employees.
