How cutting-edge computer technology can evaluate claims administrators

Article Abstract:

Employers rely on four basic data sources for evaluating the performance of their claims administrators. These include the administrator's own report, reports from the employer's staff, employee feedback and audits from an independent reviewer. These traditional sources often present problems of determining claims administration accuracy and cost minimization. Computer technology presents a better alternative to claims processing. Computer programs which can determine errors in auditing claims are more effective in measuring the performance of claims administrators.
