Voluntary benefits: bridging the gap

Article Abstract:

Voluntary benefits are optional benefits which can be used as cost-effective supplements to traditional employee benefits packages. These benefits have become part of employee assistance programs which offer education, information, counseling and support for troubled employees. Employers incur no cost when they are provided in their organizations since the insurance provider absorbs all the costs of marketing the service to employees. These benefits give added leverage to employees than what they normally would have.
