Access to basic HIV/AIDS-related clinical services in Uganda: Results of a nationally representative health facility survey

Article Abstract:

The Uganda Health Facilities Survey 2002 has attempted to develop standardized measurements of health services that could be used to make international comparisons. The analysis has provided the details about the healthcare delivery system of Uganda that has been used to plan for the provision of HIV/AIDS-related services in Uganda.

Males who have sex with males and HIV/AIDS in India: the hidden epidemic

Article Abstract:

The social and cultural context in which males have sex with other males includes sexual behavior patterns, religion, socio-cultural factors and legal considerations; these are also factors in HIV/AIDS epidemic. Various HIV/AIDS control programs that are being implemented in India are discussed.

Directions for national data policy for antiretroviral therapy in resource-poor settings: a focus on durable viral suppression

A framework for standardizing national data policy, which is required to achieve durable viral suppression that will determine the success and sustainability of antiretroviral therapy, is provided.
