Air pollution- the inside story

Article Abstract:

The US government has made significant strides in raising the quality of air through the implementation of the Clean Air Act. The legislation made considerable contributions in reducing the level of air pollutants, particularly carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and lead. Other energy-saving policies also reduced air pollution problems by encouraging experts to develop cost-efficient and reliable energy resources. Despite these gains, the Environmental Protection Agency has made little efforts in reducing indoor air pollution. The government has been lax in ensuring the safety of indoor air.

Pesticide for pole vaulting

Article Abstract:

The US government has staged a relentless campaign against the use of pesticides without even reflecting its adverse consequences. By imposing stringent safety rules and environmental requirements to pesticide manufacturers, the Environmental Protection Agency has driven away a number of products in the market. These efforts may prove detrimental in reducing crop losses arising from pests and may increase risks of food contamination. Prohibiting the use of pesticides may also alter a number of biological processes vital to man's survival.
