Bingham Dana trains the deal-impaired

Article Abstract:

Boston's Bingham Dana calls its antitrust training program for new law school graduates the Bingham Boot Camp, started with senior associates' thoughts about the clinical training their law school education lacked. Mock scenarios even included high-technology companies going public, and the lawyers were more interested than the business students in reconciliation.

Bush's church idea illegal? Pet compassionate conservative plans assailed in lawsuits

Article Abstract:

Litigation challenging the mounting collaboration between church and state in George W. Bush's compassionate conservatism is discussed. Applying this principle to all government-contracted social services was one of Bush's campaign promises, and his continued strong interest lends importance to reports of alleged abuse in early charitable choice plans.

The article discusses ABA House of Delegates deliberations on a lawyer's obligation to disclose client misdeeds. The ABA is considering proposals to change its Model Rule of Professional Conduct 1.6, allowing disclosure to prevent or rectify financial harm. The old rule allows disclosure only to prevent substantial physical harm
