Ofcom's future is already shaky

Article Abstract:

The broadcasting industry regulation agency Ofcom is not expected to be commissioning for over another year when chairmen, chief executive and four executives and four non-executives are to be put in place. Those in the process of creating Ofcom, however, are considering a common plan for communication regulations of the future.

Broadcasters slam Ofcom privacy code.. as lobby groups hit out at its sponsorship rules

Article Abstract:

The new broadcast rules relating to privacy that were published by the regulator Ofcom met with considerable criticism from Broadcasters. TV lobby group, the Voice of the Listener and Viewer has also blamed Ofcom for relaxing rules on sponsorship and commercial references in its new broadcasting code. The implications of the new broadcast rules are discussed in brief.

Stopping the download pirates

Broadcasters are faced with ever mounting losses due to piracy of their programs from their download sites. The regulations that can curtail this problem are discussed and the measures that suggestions are offered to broadcasters to cut down their losses.
