Employee policies

Article Abstract:

Radio stations should review their employee handbooks and policies for currency and consistency. Employee handbooks should explain all policies, include a complaint procedure, and comply with all applicable federal statutes, such as Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Age Discrimination Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and the Americans With Disabilities Act. State laws should also be considered when reviewing handbooks.
