No construction permits needed for minor modifications

Article Abstract:

The FCC has proposed eliminating the need for construction permits for minor station modifications, implementing a provision in the 1996 Telecom Act. The change will simplify the license and construction process since the existing two-step process for such modifications is often slow. The FCC is also considering allowing other tupes of changes without a construction permit application. A list of station modifications considered to be minor is presented.
