Article Abstract:

Trans World International (TWI), which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 1998, produces, packages and distributes 4,000 hours of original television programming each year to over 200 countries. Its programming includes official federation films, sports documentaries, sports entertainment shows and edited highlights. It deals in 240 different sports, and is also establishing a presence in features and entertainment production and finance. The key to TWI's success has been a strong understanding of how the production and distribution elements of the business are connected.

Article Abstract:

Much interest has been expressed in buying the rights to UK television production company Celador Productions' Who Wants to be a Millionaire? light entertainment programme, which was first aired in the summer of 1998. Celador Productions chief executive Paul Smith is seeking to obtain the rights to produce the National Lottery Draw programme, which is aired twice weekly. Smith began his career in television production in 1996, progressing to children's show production and light entertainment in the early 1970s.

Unique TV breaks ties with Celador

Article Abstract:

Complete Communications is to give up its 50% stake in television production company Unique Television as part of the severing of links between the latter company and independent entertainment concern Celador Productions, owned by Complete Communications. However, the two sides will remain in close contact and will work together on a Christmas special for BBC1. Unique Television will now be under the full control of Unique Group.
