EIFs offer solid barrier to moisture intrusion

Article Abstract:

Exterior insulation and finishing systems (EIFS) are highly effective in protecting buildings from water penetration and also provide many other user benefits when properly installed. This has been proven despite many reports which suggest that EIFS homes will most probably experience water damage to some degree at one time or another. These insulation systems were first developed in Germany after 1945, were rapidly adopted across Europe and are widely used in both the residential and commercial markets in the US.

Source strategies and the mediatization of climate change

Article Abstract:

The construction of such environmental problems as climate change is interactive and involves journalists, scientists and environmental groups, each playing a limited role. Media's role in this is largely one of publicity rather than construction per se and should not be overstated. Other groups such as industrialists could conceivably play a larger role than they have been permitted to date.
