RDF Television has unveiled a new gameshow format series called "The Great Pretender", and has taken Christ Tarrant as its host. The show is being produced by his own company Chris Tarrant Television, and he believes that the radio and TV industries are too dependent on market research and focus groups . His v iews on other industry issues are given .

Switching on to the kids TV crisis

Article Abstract:

Ofcom has pubslished a report on kids TV and revealed that spending on United Kingdom-originated kids programming is down by 14%, accounting for only 17% of kids hours. The report also revealed the need for more programming for young teens. Other highlights of the report, such as a proposed tax credit system, are also discussed.
