After Iraq: Let's not relegate lessons learned to the dustbin of history

Article Abstract:

The U.S., should not put the war behind it once out of Iraq, but identify lessons learnt from the Iraq War and apply them to a comprehensive strategy for the larger war on terrorism. Suggestions are presented for immediate future action with regard to national security, such as hardening the nation's infrastructure, assessment of alliances and rethought on U.S. presence in the Middle East.
