Barriers to conflict: A concrete solution to shifting concerns?

Article Abstract:

Separation barriers have become a popular way of an attempt to control cross-border migration and terrorism as security concerns of nations have shifted to non-state threats. An analysis of the planned constructions, which reflect the trend for barrier building is presented whose success, depends both on their physical construction and the perceived threat.
