The integration of air & space

Article Abstract:

The US Air Force, in a paper entitled 'The Aerospace Force: Defending America in the 21st Century,' has committed itself to the creation of an organization that will focus on the mastery of air and space. The white paper, which was released on May 9, 2000, predicts the growing reliance on space-based capabilities and announces the service's move to refocus its training and operational concepts towards that assessment.

Article Abstract:

The Defense Department is putting the emphasis on smaller and more reliable munitions. As a result, a bomber's capability will be increased dramatically, and fewer bombers will be needed. It is likely, however, that long-range strike capabilities will continue to be emphasized.
