Article Abstract:

The scandal of a military equipment maintenance company that allegedly exported transmission parts for Soviet-made armored personnel carriers to Syria, has led the Bulgarian authorities to launch an investigation into suspected illegal arms exports. It was found that the authorities arrested six officials alleged in involvement in the deal, and appointed a team of US experts to investigate the case and also proposed to tighten arms trade control.
