Bundeswehr bottles join battle

Article Abstract:

Bundeswehr forces at Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan, will be getting a new water purification system that will meet soldiers' psychological needs and preferences for bottled drinking water. Karcher Futuretech's WBP 700 is completing the final testing, and is expected to be operational in-theatre at the end of December 2006, and the company would be supplying up to 15,000 litres of bottles water per day in one-litre units.

NATO officials say incompatibility endangers ISAF forces

Article Abstract:

The issues of fatal lack of interoperable command and control (C2) equipment and intelligence -sharing networks with the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) are discussed. The senior NATO commanders are concerned especially in southern Afghanistan's Kandahar district and places where Taliban's insurgency is strongest.

South Korea picks Elbit Systems' Skylark II for UAV requirement

Article Abstract:

Elbit System's Skylark II has been selected by South Korea for its unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) acquisitions. The Skylark II tactical UAV can be operated by two member crew and is designed to be used in missions with range exceeding 60 km.
