CBR protective systems: The way forward

Article Abstract:

DARPA's Special Projects Office (SPO) is focusing on protecting people from exposure to chemical and biological agents and is developing systems that can sense the presence of dangerous levels of the threat materials and react to it by its own counter measures before they harm people and contaminate surroundings. Immune building programme, TACTIC programme and RAIDDS programme are some of the approaches used to remove the threats of chemical and biological agents.

Swedish CBW showcase: A report on the CBW Symposium at Gothenburg 2-6 June 2004

Article Abstract:

The eighth international symposium on protection against Chemical and Biological Weapons (CBW) was reported to be the first conference held at Gothenburg. Plenty of new developments were observed at the symposium and the papers at the symposium belonged to three categories, namely medical response, technology and procedures/management.
