CEA-FAR selected for ANZAC upgrade

Article Abstract:

Australia's Department of Defense (DoD) has selected CEA Technologies' CEA-FAR E/F-band phased-array radar and associated CEA-MOUNT I/J-band missile illuminator as part of the Anti-Ship Missile Defence (ASMD) upgrade of the Royal Australian Navy's (RAN's) ANZAC-class frigates. The contract is expected to be worth in excess of AUD150 million (USD115 million) and the CEA-FAR radar and CEA-MOUNT illuminators will be integrated into ANZAC ships by ANZAC Alliance Team members Tenix Defence and Saab Systems.

Three selected to start journey to MARS

Article Abstract:

AMEC, KBR and Raytheon Systems were selected as candidate integrators to undertake assimilation phase activities for the UK's Military Afloat Reach and Sustainability (MARS) programme. The MARS programme, valued at around GBP2.5 billion, will provide the future Royal Navy with afloat support through replacement of the major part of the existing Royal Fleet Auxiliary fleet.

Oman turns to Thales for OPV shipsets

Article Abstract:

Thales Ne derland plans to supply sensors, weapon control, combat management and communications systems for Oman's new Project Khareef ocean patrol vessels (OPVs). The supplies would be carried through VT Shipbuilding International as the prime contractors.
