Development in RMN hydrography department - a new challenge

Article Abstract:

The challenges faced by the Royal Malaysian Navy Hydrographic Directorate's Department of Oceanography while undergoing fundamental changes in measurement technology, are discussed. The environmental monitoring system (EMS) project was designed to improve forecast of metocean changes, management of marine resources, improve utilization and environment protection in the coastal zone and also create a favorable environment for national maritime research and development.

The RMN Fleet - our nation's pride

Article Abstract:

The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) is heading for a leaner organizational structure without compromising on quality, combat capability as well as safety of the people, because its main focus is to develop a balanced naval force that is mission capable in all dimensions of warfare. The RMN Fleet consists of the New Generation Patrol Vessels (NGPVs), two BAE Systems F2000 frigates, Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV), Patrol Craft and the Fast Attack Craft (Gun) squadrons.

RMN - 'Host Navy' for DSA Exhibition 2006

Article Abstract:

The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) has adopted new techniques to prepare and deploy naval forces to protect Malaysia's maritime interests in peace and ensure victory in war. The 9th Malaysia Plan is very important to the Navy Capability Development Plan for the next five years as the RMN should satisfy its stakeholders by having the ability to maintain high operational readiness and preparedness in order to meet the challenges.
