F-22 survives a stealth attack

Article Abstract:

The Congress voted in favor of a new $2.5 billion appropriation to sustain the F-22 fighter aircraft as part of the a $267.7 billion Defense Department appropriation bill. Since midsummer 1999, the fighter program had faced several obstacles, including the House's move to drop the $1.8- billion required to purchase the first production of F-22s. USAF, which already has invested over $20 billion to develop the F-22s, wants to replace the F-15 with F-22.

The September massacre - Sept. 11, 2001

Article Abstract:

Four commercial airline planes were hijacked on September 11, 2001. Two were crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, and one into the Pentagon. Thousands of people, including buliding occupants, airline passengers, and police and firefighters, are thought to have been killed.
