Article Abstract:

The US Army logisticians have learnt a lot from their commercial counterparts and commander of the Army Material Command (AMC) has brought five years of Army transportation experience and a commitment to 'lean thinking' to bear on an organization vital to succeed in the new war on terrorism. General Paul J. Kern believes that providing fuel throughout the battle theaters in Iraq and Afghanistan were the major success story for AMC organization.

Article Abstract:

The consideration of other factors in future systems, apart from precision and navigation would include the weather, target hardness, proximity of non-targets, and time of target availability range. A Common Guidance Program is intended to significantly reduce the size of the navigation control systems and also costs.

Army of darkness: U.S. military looks to maintain its dominance in the night

Advances in technology have made it increasingly difficult for the U.S. military to maintain an edge. Night Vision (NV) devices, which were once expensive, are available to virtually any customer where the heart of the NV devices is an I2 tube, which gathers available light creating a familiar green image.
