Feeding the beast

Article Abstract:

A study on Force Service Support Groups (FSSGs), the opening and operating of Forward Operating Bases (FOB), and rhythm and tempo in distribution achieved by end of major combat operation is done. The findings concluded that the FSSGs need to possess air programs during peacetime and the Marine Corps must accelerate plans to incorporate a bar code method of tracking supplies, among others.

Lassoing SASO: A tale of nondoctrinal discovery

Article Abstract:

The initial search of the Army term SASO (stability and support operations) and the hardships involved are described. SASO is now used in the sense that forces transitioned from offensive operations to stability and support operations after the liberation of Baghdad.
