GPS-free navigation: New ideas and concepts for navigation and geolocation

Article Abstract:

Satellite-assisted navigation through the Global Positioning System (GPS) has become a part and parcel of countless aspects of military operations and has proved to be the most accurate, reliable, simple, less expensive guidance concept. But the very success of GPS, and the increasing dependence on it by military forces raises the fundamental question of satellite signals being blurred by enemy jamming or unreceivable due to environmental conditions.
